Tamil Union
The first inaugural meeting of the Tamil Union was held in 1982. The union organizes class competitions to promote essay, poetry and short story writing and speaking skills among the students. Music and dance competitions are also held to bring out the aesthetic sense and talents in the students. Prizes for the winners of these competitions are awarded on the “Tamil Day”. Apart from these activities, the union also organizes seminars and fund raising programmes.
