Chundikuli Girls’ College is one of the pioneering institutions in the field of women’s education in Jaffna. The college has a long tradition of empowering girls through education, and several generations have passed through the portals of this college into the society as women who are esteemed not only for their achievements in their chosen fields, but also for their strength of character, spiritual awareness and commitment, sense of social responsibility, and independence of thought. We strive to provide a nurturing and disciplined environment to the students under our care, and the inspiring atmosphere at Chundikuli has helped in identifying and developing the potentials of the students, and moulding them intellectually, morally, and spiritually.
Our focus on values facilitates each student’s personal growth and character development. The classroom environment encourages individual accountability and achievement, and the academic programme is designed to encourage the successful completion of the national curriculum and certification. We understand that learning and development occur both inside and outside the regular classroom, and offer numerous extra-curricular activities that provide opportunities for the students to develop their individual talents.
Education is a collaborative partnership involving the school, parents, and the community, and our goal is to work together with the parents and the community to provide the best possible environment in which young people can develop their abilities and discern the purpose of their lives.
